Glen,
I would imagine that it would be fairly simple to get CARB & EPA approval
for ignitions like the MSD-6A on OBD-II vehicles. CARB numbers apply to
specific years so always check to see if the number is applicable to your
year vehicle. When a Mis-fire is detected, I would assume that the "Check
Engine Light" would come on, but I don't know for sure. Could be that a
fault code would be stored. One other thing, the ignitions with built in rev
limiters can be hooked up and used on later vehicles, just take them off at
smog time and set the rev limiter higher than your factory limiter.....
