Two things:
1) This applies to all members of the DML. One of the big items to steal now
seems to be tailgates. They are easy to take and people are willing to pay
good $$ to get them back. Two of my friends have had theirs stolen in the
past month. They called the cops, but there is no way to prove that a
tailgate is yours if you find it in a store. I see people all over the place
driving around with no tailgate. I used to think they were trying to improve
MPG, but now I wonder. You can go to some stores and buy "used" tailgates, or
you can go to the dealers and pay $$$. So keep an eye on your tailgates.
2) As for bed covers..I just bought a Roll Top cover. Although these things
are expensive, they are very nice. They provide the security of a hard top,
but still allow you to haul stuff without removing them. The Roll Top is
waterproof and very secure.
Just a couple of items to consider.
