I doubt the people that wrote that manual know about the altitude
adjustments... alot more than you think is affected by the altitude...
cooking, hot water heaters (gas), gas furnaces all have to be "derated" for
high altitude or they run too rich & run excessive CO output..

hell, my manual is half wrong... I got an early model '98 Quad Cab, and my
manual is almost exactly the same as the one in my old '96!

They included a couple of 'addendum' pages, but they don't cover half the
differences...

and just to let you know, there is a TSB out there about running a high
octane fuel when not required... "may result in significantly lower mileage"
I'll see if I can find the TSB #...
