Since you say that you think that you are between normal and severe, I'd
recommend
that you have the maintenance for the 'severe' done. In my experience, not
many
owners would fall under normal driving/operating conditions.
Schedule B (severe) recommends the following up to about 24K:
Lubricate steering linkage ... 3k, 6k, 9k
Drain and refill auto. tran. fluid / replace filter and adjust bands.
Lube front suspension ball joints.
Inspect brake linings ... 12k
Inspect air cleaner element/ replace if neccessary ... 15k
Inspect front wheel bearing ... 21k
I would tell the service people that this is what I want done when you phone
to make an appointment.
