July: install JBS headers. K&N drop in filter No noticeable
difference.
Oct: install Jacobs (expensive) ing system and 8.5mm wires No
noticeable difference.
Dec 4 Tony and I installed his tube and K&N cone (model 3) in my truck,
in parking
lot at work, and I had to rush off to meet a date at the movies. About
a mile later,
at the theater, I had this SWG stuck on my face, and after driveing back
home, filling
up the gas tank, and eating dinner, it still won't go away. I don't
care if
the mileage doesn't get better from this mod, best money I spent so far.
At about 3/4
throttle, it just squats back and lunges forward, with a wicked roar. I
think I
know what a shot of nitrous feels like. This 9" cone is nearly 2x the
surface area
of the stock box filter.
OK folks, now I am serious about haveing to get some good brake
rotors, I think
mine (even in Los Angeles) are about to get a workout.
Stock rotors, '98 are they solid, or hollow in the center, w/cooling
fins (VENTED)
stillen, drilled rotors, are they solid, or hollow w/fins and drill
holes. (DRILLED)
When the Calif. DML group gets together in Jan, will we have a dyno,
or
track to run on?
