On an internally stock motor, is there any performance advantages or
hazzards by changing to a higher ratio rocker arm? Wouldn't this
effectivly increase the lift/duration of the stock cam since the valves
would be physically traveling further?

There is a article in the january 1999 issue of Mopar Muscle that put a set
of 1.7 roller rockers on a 3.9l V6.They said that it would not cause any
problems .They showed the dyno sheets on the engine picked a few horses. The
article said that it was a fairly easy mod.
Hope this helps.
