Hard covers will not sag over time or because of weight. They also offer
a degree of security, especially those with two locks. The ones that
can be installed with no drilling can be easily removed, although
it will probably take two people to lift it off.

With a hard cover, you will definitely need an under-the-rail liner.
Some other options are a spray-on liner or a rug liner. The spray-ons
were just coming out when I got my Dak but I probably would not have
chosen one as it's too permanent for me. Rug liners were not out then
and I would be concerned about how much protection they offer in preventing
against dents. The disadvantage with drop-in liners is that they are hard
on the paint because they do vibrate and slide a little. I use Krown Rust
protection so I'm not worried about rust.

Roll-up type of covers are not suited for where I am because they'll freeze
up in the winter. I've also heard that they are also not leak-proof.

I can't comment on the brands that you have mentioned. I have the Dodge
drop-in liner and a hard cover made by a Canadian company called RDL.
SnugLid and Gaylord seem to big names in the States.

Hope this helps.
