   I had to do the same thing. I just went to a hardware store and bought
a piece of steel stock. Basically just a flat piece of metal a few feet
long. It only costed a few bucks. I used a sawzall to cut it up
into little 4-5" pieces, then drilled holes for the U-bolts in each.
It won't win any craftsmanship awards, but it got the job done!
