Hey Jack,
The sad thing is it was probably stolen by someone who restores classic
cars, or builds rods. I used to have a '72 Dart Swinger (wish I still did).
It was cherry; pure factory. Some SOB stole the gas cap. I had to replace
it with some cheap generic "one cap fits all" kind a deal. The originals
were no longer to be had. You'll probably see your plate some day on
someone's show car and never know it.

I had a white DC plate until some asshole stole it .

I think they were DC until about the late eighties or so.
