I take my truck off road on the easy runs(so they call it) with a Jeep club
at work. Last run was about 15 rigs. The truck does real well especially
with the LSD rear and 4:1 first gear (5sp) which brings the crawl ratio to
38.73:1 which is good.
The deep wheel wells and long travel make up for the stiff ridged body which
I would rather have as opposed to a rig that flexed and tweaked.
I even pulled a stock wrangler out of a stream and up a hill where it was
stuck. The reason he was stuck though was because his sway bars were
connected and both his diffs were open.

I've been perusing the archives and reading the recent stuff and it seems
like
no one uses their trucks for off-roading and everyone mostly uses them to
drag
race. Not that racing is bad, but it only lasts for seconds. I also
noticed
that a lot of members are from Texas. Maybe that's why they don't
4-wheel..no
hills. At least not like we have here in Oregon.
It is interesting and informative to read all the emails though.
Let's see, how do I sign off?
'97 Sport V6, Gibson Cat Back, 3:92, 2" body lift, 2"sus lift, intake
mods....

If you mean beat the crap out of it type 4 wheeling... you're right, not to
many members. If you mean gravel roads and snow .... a large number with
4x4's. We just don't talk as much as the drag racers.
