If anyone else has been having vibration problems with their DAK I would
recommend checking the universal joints on the shaft. Mine turned out to
have bad workmanship from the factory. The joints were found to be about 3
degrees off from each other causing the driveline to vibrate at certain
speeds.
I haven't went back to the dealer yet. It is still under warranty. It cost
me $500.00 to trouble shoot this on going problem. 53,000 miles on the truck
with a borrowed driveline and I'm finally a happy man. It made me feel real
good for the owner of the frame shop to tell me that in 49 years in his
business he has never had such a hard time coming up with the fix to solve
this vibration. It was in the shop off & on for about 12 days. Now all I
gotta do is get my new driveline and sue the dealer for all the money I'm
out. Not looking forward to that at all.
