I have driven my R/T as hard as I can for the entire 11,000 miles, so
far no trouble. Same with my brothers Z28, 55,000 hard miles, no
trouble. I think the most important thing to remember is check fluid
levels at least once a week and change oil and filter ahead of schedule,
for the 1st 5,000 or so miles, I changed every 2,000 mi. As the parts
wear in they generate metal particles. Later, after 10,000 mi, have
accumulated, a regular maintanance schedule is OK. My way. Alan S.
