1992 Dakota

Hi people,

I own a 1992 Extended Cab V6 4WD Dakota that I have recently been having
some trouble with. While driving on the highway, it occasionly makes a
thumping noise and sometimes during acceleration from a stopped position
it seems like their is a slight hesitation,
Do anybody have any suggestions that could solve my problem?
