There is a guy here in the office that races Legends cars and he is having
a new engine built for his for the upcoming season .
He said he was going to use Royal Purple 9W oil because he had heard alot
about it , knew a few racers that used it , and the guy that is building
the engine strongly recommended it .
He said that the guy building the engine put in writing that if he ever had
an oil-related failure of the engine , as long as he used royal purple ,
that he would give him another engine . even though he is using the engine
for racing .
He also told me that he had talked to several of the other drivers and that
they had confirmed gains in HP on the Dyno after switching to the stuff .
It was either 4 or 6 HP that they saw on the dyno .
I am still wary of using it in a daily driven vehicle , but you have to
remember that these Legends cars are powered by Yamaha 4-cylinder
motorcycle engines that really turn some RPMs .
Anyway , I'll be keeping my eye on him and that oil.
