<< Eric,
Do you have a copy of the article in Mopar Muscle or do you remember what
issue it was in. My understanding is that you cut down the divider inside
the manifold, I don't remember how much. I also think that you were
supposed
to shorten the runners. Again I need to know how much. I hope this is just
as simple as machining the runners from the inside (cutting them down). If
I
remember, you had filled in some of the plenum with block filler?? One heck
of a big plenum. Where did you put the block filler. Any help on locating
the article or getting info would be great. I have one of the V-8 manifolds
all cleaned up and ready for the mill.........

Frank you are correct. The issue is the Mopar Muscle July 1997. The center
divider is cut down two inches (Jules once posted this) You cut the runners
as far as possible. And fill in the plenum chambers around the runners to
take up air space. In the article they say to weld them up with pieces of
aluminum, as the filler material is too heavy. Also dont forget about
welding
the heat shield to the plate on the bottom of the manifold. Maybe do a
little
work at the inlets from the TB to make that transistion smoother. It almost
looks as if the plenum divider is wider then the space between those
openings.
My truck does not have EGR, but for the guys that do, the plenum divider
houses the EGR passage. If you cut it down for the full length of the
divider, you are cutting away this passage. On my truck, I would just
replug
the passage at the end of the manifold. Maybe on the EGR trucks you just
leave the passage open at the end of the manifold????
