I've read this in the service manual as well regarding pulling the engine to
replace the cam. I ask this question to a couple of the service techs at my
local dealership. They stated you don't need to pull the engine to replace
the cam. You can do it through the grill. How about some feedback from
those who have already changed a cam?

Subject: DML: some cam specs

Hi List

here are some cam numbers

Stock magnum 240/248 26 overlap .373/.400 lift(from fsm)
magnum HP
P5249549 270/276 55 overlap .458/.467 lift

fsm says to pull engine to replace cam.

P5249549 requires springs P5249464 springs.

These springs are "square shaped" not conical like
the stock spring. Therefore retainers P4452032 are
also required.
