My R/T is silent in reverse... Then again the coldest its seen is about
40degF... I feel lucky on that count!

It seems to be a popular noise among R/T's. Mine only does it in reverse
when it is cold. As soon as the fluid warms up it stops. I personally
haven't worried about it.
