Subject: DML: Dakota spanks F3 Tornado!!
Not to make light of a serious situation, last thursday night
my dak and I literally outran an F3 tornado. I was leaving
work thursday night on the I-30 freeway just crossing the
Arkansas river bridge. The sirens where going off as I topped
the bridge I noticed flashes of light in my rearview mirror.
It was the tornado tearing up electrical lines in downtown
Little Rock.
Unfortunately it was traveling the same direction I was and
it was about to take a shortcut to my exit. I made a quick
decision to stay in the Dak sense I was about 3 blocks ahead
and believe it or not I had been in this sutation 2 years ago
in stalled traffic on the same bridge (Hell-ofa-helpless feeling).
It was past rush hour THANK GOD!! so I pushed the ol Dak to
the near extreme and took the 167 exit north and the tornado
picked up and sat down on I-40 going east, removing 5 tractor
trailer semi's from the freeway. Then the drama turns to tragedy,
after traveling 40 miles on the freeway I get home and the Dak
goes into the garage unscathed, family and house is intact. Within
minutes it starts to hail and suddenly stops. An F3 tornado
sets down in my little hometown distroying the entire high school
campus, jr.high, elementary and about 600 homes and businesses.
In all, we had over 36 tornados in the state this week. on Thursday
they took 7 lives, including a 2 1/2 mo. old baby. My family, the
Dak and I are doing fine. My home was not touched. I've spent the
entire weekend with a chainsaw helping clear trees from neighbors
homes. Frankly I'm a little worried though, the NAT.WEATHER SER.
says its gonna warm up again this weekend....(help)!!!

P.S (A tornado killed a guy this week because he was trying to
start his truck. He ran from his trailer to the truck with the
damn THING right behind him. I don't know what type of truck it
was because it was unrecognizable. He was to. When they are THAT
CLOSE, get to a ditch if possible and lay flat! Stay outta that
vehicle!!!
