I was at the inaugaral event at Sears Point in 1969 and one of the cars
running was the EMPI Inch Pincher which wasall out drag race Beetle. I
believe the car ran in the 11s at the time and I'll never forget my Chevy
loving buddy's face when it soundly beat a Fuel Injected 'Vette.
