There aren't really a whole lot of "Offroad Performance" parts out
there...YET...for the 4x4 Dakota's. I've also been working on finding
parts for my "PreRunner" conversion. The only place i've found is Fabtech
but they only make suspension kits for the 2WD's. FOr a good offroader,
Suspension Articulation is the key element, Gearing and then engine.
(Remember, there are 4 and 6 cylinder engines kicking the V8 butts on
"Rubicon" or "MOAB" style runs.
As for engine mods...Low-End Torque w/all around range horsepower...You
don't need High Horsepower engines that run around 4000RPM to conquer hills.
ProComp, Rancho, & Helwig are good places to start...Also check out the 4WD
club sites on the web. You'll get more information from them since 1/4
times aren't a priority for them.
