I have noticed that my 99 318 Dakota has not accepted mods as easily as 98 and earlier Dakotas. I had suspected that something changed in the new 99 Dakotas. Today, I found something interesting in a Chrysler press release.

"New features for 1999"
"JTEC+" PCM (Power train Control Module) For Added On-Board Diagnostic Capability"

Does anyone know what this is?
Do you think it has an adverse effect on performance mods?
