I see that Performance West has supercharged a 1999 Grand Cherokee
Unlimited, 4.7L. It's a Kenne Bell, twin screw, 2.2L unit set to
deliver up to 13 psi boost. End result is 330 hp and 413 ft-lbs of
torque, resulting in an estimated 13.80 ET at 96 mph.
The Unlimited is a balanced package to be available at Jeep dealers
... tubular headers, stainless cat-back, ultra-sophisticated
microprocessor technology, Kenne Bell springs resulting in a 1/2
lowered stance, 18" chrome plated alloy Prime rims on P295/45ZR18
Goodyear Eagle F1s, Cerullo leather racing seats, VDO Carin GPS
navigation system, circular cuts framing the composite headlamps,
and monochromatic electric mirrors.
Cost = $37,000 (for stock Jeep) + about $17,000
Maybe that's why Dakotas aren't high on the aftermarket priority list.
