All of the above. Taller sidewall "touring" tires will provide a slighlty
cushier ride. Luxury-car style shocks will respond more slowly to bumps
and allow the suspension to move more freely. Partially inflated airbags
can have much the same effect, I think. Finally, lower-rate springs don't
jar quite so much. Use various combinations (I'd probably go with tires
and shocks or airbags first). But remember, whatever you do to make the
ride more pliable makes your truck less trucklike. Airbags are the
exception, as they can be adjusted on the fly. And I don't think your
ride is significantly harsher with the T&H package, because it comes with
more "touring-like" tires, and the only other addition is a rear sway bar,
which shouldn't affect harhness of ride any. Good luck with the little
