My 5.2L '94 Dakota has pinged since I bought it. I've heard that
running a cooler (180 degree) thermostat will help. I bought one but
haven't put it in yet. Looks like fun.
My dealer claimed there is a TSB on cleaning the injectors and throttle
body. They simply put a bottle of injector cleaner in the tank, and
cleaned the TB with a can of spray throttle body cleaner. It helped
some.
I'm going to try cooler plugs. Anybody know what the next cooler range
of Champions would be?
