I've got a 99 4x4, and can relate to your clunck probem, I'd explain
mine more as a clicking, grinding kind of a noise. Only noticed when
going slow and making a turn in either direction. I'm implyed to think
it's somthing to do with the ABS, mainly because I don't think their
working right either. I've only had them kick in twice but both times I
don't think they should have, and once the peddle stopped vibrating the
brakes worked like they were over heated. They felt spongy but didn't
seem to be stopping well. I don't know if this is how they all work or
if the two are even related, I'm yet to get to the dealer on it.
