James,
while you may have a warranty, my strong suggestion is to take your truck to
a driveline shop and have them balance the driveshaft! itll cost you 60 or
so bucks, but it should fix the vibes. Maybe the out of balance report will
convince the dealer/chrco to suck it up! (I figure after shelling 20K for a
truck 60 bucks wont hurt me) The windshield issue is one that baffles me.
usually cracking is caused by poor installation technique. Go to a
different Dodge dealer and have them install one, or have one installed by
an independent installer and charge it back to Chryco (after you set it up
of course)... Big hassle yes, but the truck will be better off for it.

DMLers,

OK, I've had 4 windshields in my 98 R/T now, and yesterday I noticed this
one that's been in there for 1 month starting to crack. Obviously there is
something structurally wrong with the truck for this to keep happening. The
dealer tells me to call this 800 customer service number and says...."We
can't just keep putting new windshields in it all the time". Well no duh,
just fix the actual problem and you won't have to. Also my dealer said they
can't just keep putting new windshields in it all the time". Well no duh,
just fix the actual problem and you won't have to. Also my dealer said they
won't test the vehicle over 70 MPH, so how do I get the drive shaft looked
at for the loud a#@ vibration at 85+? I love my truck but I feel it's
starting to turn into a lemon. I've had so many problems with.......I'm
starting to loose hope for it. I just called the 800 number and they opened
up a file and sent it off to my dealer and the reps above them, so hopefully
if the great idea of it all works they will call me, take my truck in, and
finally resolve my issues.....or who knows, maybe I might have to turn it in
and have it replaced with a 99 R/T. I highly doubt it though.....wishful
thinking!!! Any ideas or anyone been there and done that....would
appreciate it greatly! Thanks!
