Fish:

I've got 3.55 for a rear end and can smoke 'em in 4x2 and 4x4 w/o power
braking... but them again, I've got a
5spd. The patch in 4x4 isn't very long, maybe a foot. Patch in 4x2 is
however long I decide that I don't want
to push in the clutch. I layed a 3' patch a little while ago, but I stayed
there for a long time. (It wasn't long, the
patch that is, but it was a thick layer of rubber that I left on the road :)

(and the stock badyears w/64k miles )

Question for those of you who own 97+ 4x4's with V8, 31x10.5 tires, and 3.92
gears:

Can you smoke the tires in 2WD?

I installed JBA headers last week, and did a burnout test a couple of
days ago. It seems from a stop and no power braking that I get a couple
of black strips about 5 feet long...none of this "I can burn the tires all
the way to Phoenix" stuff. Just curious.

thanks,
fish
