IF you have a newer model DAK, the fan simple unscrews via a large nut. The
pulley stays in place and the belt never budges. It is really easy, except
you need a special tool to take off that fan I think.

Okay, i'm thinking of upgrading to electric fans on my 97 dakota v6 but i
really don't know how. Is there a kit you buy that has all of the
instructions or has anyone done it and has instructions on how to do it?
also, would you have to buy a shorter serpentine belt since the fan pull is
disconnected?
