  It might be that you got some incorrect information from the magazine.
The SR-71 is a modified Dakota, but its not done by Dodge; its an
aftermarket company. I believe it uses a Viper front suspension,
and also Viper wheels, but the rear is an aftermarket IRS, and
the motor is a 360 Magnum, not the Viper V10.

  I'm not at my computer at the moment, so I don't have the URL
handy, but this company has a web site with some pictures and
info about the SR-71 Dak. Unless someone posts it in the
meantime, I'll dig that up and post it here. (You might be
able to find it by searching through the archives, as its been
posted a couple of times in the past.)
