Yes and no. Yes, the torque multiplication is better on an automatic, but
for all-out 4x4'ing, most of the hardcore people still prefer a manual
trans. Just in case anything breaks down in the automatic...or even
worse..a fluid line breaks (from the trans cooler up front).
