OK, I found the article in High Performance MoPar (January 1998). The
author had a street stocker '67 B-body w/ 440. He claims a 0.10-second,
1mph advantage in the quarter after changing to the alum. shaft. He also
claims a 200 rpm drop in rpm's through the traps AND on the ride home at
cruise speeds - this is apparently due to reduced converter slippage w/ less
rotational mass (don't know if you'd see same improvement on lock-up OD
tranny).

Anyway, their source was Denny's Driveshaft Service, 1189 Military Rd.,
Kenmore, NY 14217.

They custom-build driveshafts and can ship them out to you.
