Thanks, for the info, I will probably replace the entire module just to save
time and money down the road.

picture to put in yet, but I do have a problem. When my Dakota was still
under warrenty, my fuel pump was going out and they replaced it. I have a
20
gallon fuel tank, and when it has 1/4 tank or less, the fuel gauge works
like it is supposed to, now that the warrenty expired, my fuel gauge
bounces
from full to empty while the truck is moving or idling, if I turn the key
on
and don't move the turck, it will work properly.
Has anyone had this problem? If so please let me know or give me some
suggestions on how to fix it. >>
I own a 93 Dakota and have had 3 pumps replaced, 2 of them under warranty.
The
gas guage on yours sounds like what mine was doing this last time. Dodge
really made a cheap fuel sending unit, or Carter did, they make the factory
pumps. This last time the gas guage was erratic I bought a new sending unit.
I
dropped the tank and pt just the sending unit on. That fixed my problem, but
2
weeks later my fuel pump died, so down came the tank again. This time I did
not buy a dealer pump, I went to NAPA and bought the one they sold, the
entire
module, still a Carter, just a different design. If you are going to put a
new
sending unit on, I would say if the pump is over 2 years old, just put an
entire module on, the module ran $135 and this included the pump and sending
unit. Good Luck.
