I found an interesting site recently. Skip Barber (www.skipbarber.com)
teaches high performance driving and race driving. His schools are at
several race tracks around the country. He features one and two day
hi-perf driving courses. The student gets to drive both front wheel- and
rear wheel-drive cars.
The Skip Barber rear wheel vehicle is none other than the Dakota!! It
gets you all set up to make a couple of laps at speed in their Vipers!
Of course, Dodge is one of their sponsors, and Dodge, like so many
others, doesn't have a big selection of rear wheel drive cars available,
so I guess the Dakota is the natural (read: inexpensive) choice to teach
rear wheel drive car dynamics. Still pretty cool.
