When I looked for a hard shell for my '95, I looked for about 3 months, before settling on an ARE model. I liked it the best because of the extra strengthening used in the middle during the molding process. This model has a perfect fit and finish with the molding and whoever does the painting did a perfect color match. I also got the aero wing with mine and the ARE company was the only ones who offered this option(which I wanted). The company offers many options such as interior lighting, marine carpeting to cover the underside in a few colors, and you also have the option to NOT have the lift handle installed, but they give you(at least me) the handle and screws if you want to install it at a later time. I have had this cover on my truck for 2 years without any worries. You also have the option of either having it mounted(screwed) on or using the clamping system. This system does come with a frame-work, but check them out, I think you'll be pleased. The price for mine was around $900.00, but I wanted QUALITY and I haven't been disappointed.

Anyone have direct experience with these tonneaus?
    "SnugTop"
    "Stockland"
    "The Colonel"
All are comparably priced and styled about the same. I don't care for the Mopar style or cost. Don't like the trim strip around the edge, especially the black ones. I saw a new Leer tonneau that looked like crap! Looked like they did the final sanding with 80 grit.
I'm interested in quality of fit & finish, ease of removal, how much stuff you have to clamp or screw to the truck and if the cover rubs the paint. I'm leaning towards The Colonel 'cause I can get it locally for a good price and it doesn't use a frame. Any other suggestions?
    Thanks!
