<< Well, I haven't been playing the Beach Boys in my truck, so I don't
why I'm getting vibrations at 80 mph :O) Hey, Keith Phelps, did just
getting a new 'shaft from Dodge fix the problem? I was playing with a
4x4 CC SLT 97+ on the highway this morning and took it up to 105 mph
or so and I could definitely feel the vibes, but when i let off, I
didn't know if the exhaust was rapping down or the shaft was shakin'
but boy could I feel it. I don't want my rear seal to leak. If I say
that my truck vibes at "highway speed" and they replace the shaft with
another factory replacement, will it fix it? Seems like it did for
      you. >>

105mph in a 4x4, hmmm.....well maybe it's not the shaft but the fact that your
tires are not rated and are not supposed to go that fast????????? Just
maybe???
I own 235's on my 93 4x4 and common sense tells me that the tires will vibrate
at speeds over 75, just cause they are 4WD tires. Unless you have street tires
on your Dak 4x4, it probably not the shaft, its the tires that were not
manufactured for 105mph. All I can suggest is go have them balanced; that
helps me ever time I feel some vibrations on my 4x4. Anyways, I dont see the
rational for needing to go that fast, even if it is on the highway; maybe on a
closed track. Come on guys, speed is nice, but safety is ncie also. Ever
wonder what would be left of you and your Dak is you blew a tire or lost
control of your 4x4 at those speeds? Can you say shovel? I have seen many
videos and pictures of accident scenes where the tires blew/the drive lost
control at high speeds; not very appealing. Now I know why 4WD vehicles have a
bad rep.
