Sorry to hear about all them problems. Well, that rattle might not be coming
from your exhaust. It is probably your Cat, as was mine. It never made the
check engine light come on, but I did notice a loss of power. The chipping
on the bumpers is unfortunately normal, just tell the dealer before the next
1000 miles before the warranty goes bad. I think that the dealer might be
the lemon. If you have a list of problems, the best thing is to write/type
them down and hand them to your service manager and make sure are problems
are dealt with. But don't trade it for a CHEVY. Get the V8 Dak or if ya got
the dough an R/T.

Subject: DML: is my dak a lemon(kinda long)
Hi all,
In the last three or 4 months I have had nothing but problems.
1) truck was stalling all the time..the dealer replaced the TB
2)timing chain rattle...dealer replaced
timing chain(but I don't think they put it back in time correctly.
3)paint is chipping off of both bumpers
(did not notify the dealer on this yet)
4) The ball joints are going bad(Dealer still
insists that they are in spec)
5)Rattle sound coming from inside of exaust(getting this looked at this
weekend
6) center console lid is broke (did not notify dealer cause it will just
break again anyway)
7) As I write this my dak is being towed to the dealer because it will
not start after it stalled on me
The truck only has 35,000 miles on it
and I was wondering if anybody else
is having problems with their 97 V6 dak
I am thinking about trading mine in on a
99 dak with a V8 .
My girl said I should get a chevy
Maybe I'm overreacting I love my truck
What should I do?
sorry so long,
Damien Boland
