Well, if you go the southern route, I might be interested. I have relatives
up in San Jose that I could stay with the night before. I just need some
ample time to put in a request off of work. Haven't been up North for about
5 years now, I think its time for a visit.

Subject: DML: Nor. Cal. Meet
Hi all,
A while back I suggested we have a Nor. Cal. meet. The response was
was pretty good. Seems like now we have several new local members on the
mailing lists too!
Anyway, with the sunny weather we've been having lately, I figure it's
time to plan for a meet.
Here's a couple of proposed itineraries :
The Northern route:
1) Meet at the Golden Gate Bridge lookout in the a.m.
2) Head up to Napa for a little winery touring.
3) Lunch in Calistoga
4) Carve some corners on the Silverado Trail
5) Head south through Sonoma
6) End up at the Marin Headlands for a little
sunset picture taking
or,
The Southern route:
1) Meet say, at the Sun Microsystems campus off 237
2) Head south to Santa Cruz/Boardwalk
3) A little "refreshments" in Capitola
4) Continue down hwy 1 to Monterey/Fishermans Warf
5) On into Carmel for shopping/pictures
6) Return through Carmel Valley Rd. to hwy 68 by Laguna Seca
Optionally, we could continue on to Big Sur if you want to make
a long day of it.
Any comments or suggestions?
