Superchargers and turbos both work by forcing more air into the engine than
it normally gets (with, of course, an additional amount of fuel). A
supercharger is belt driven, provides instant boost (that's why drag racers
like them) but requires a small amount of engine power to drive. A
turbocharger is driven by exhaust pressure, takes no power from the engine
but there is a slight delay or lag before the turbo spins up and starts
making more power. The amount of power you will get from either a SC or
turbo will vary depending on how much additional air/fuel the unit
delivers. Minimum amount of additional power from either unit is
technically referred to as a "sh*tload".

I think it would be a good idea.
