Ok,

How to remove the decals with a hot air gun. You can use a blow dryer if you don't have a hot air gun. Be careful with either one of them. The hot air gun gets extremely hot and what it does is breaks down the adhesive's bond with the paint. It does not hurt the paint if you don't leave it on the same spot forever. I'm not even sure if it would hurt the paint after that, but I wouldn't take any chances. What you need to do is have an adhesive remover (3M makes a good one which is for tar and bumper stickers) Do NOT use this until after you remove the decal with the hot air gun. Keep the hot air gun at least 6 inches from the truck. Move the gun left and right continuously. When you can easily pull the sticker off of the truck, it's ready to peel. When you are finished. Take a diaper cloth with a little bit of adheasive remover (3M, goo gone, etc...) and lightly wipe the area to make sure all adheasive is off. When finished, wash the truck as if you normally would when it gets dirty. This helps get any residue that is left on it off. This process takes about an hour and half to remove all the standard stock decals off of a 98 Dakota Sport. The pictures of my truck are after I removed the decals. This will show you what it looks like on an Intense Blue 98 Dak Sport.

This seems to be the lazy way and fastest way to remove decals.
