Well gang, the rain and snow finally quit for me and my wife to get to Ft. Collins to check on hotels - where they're located and prices. I found what exit to get off and got some phone #'s for you all to make reservations as I'm going on vacation from the 10th of May thru the end of the month, but I'll be at the meet--here's what I have for you:
1)--Ft. Collins for May 29th and 30th for meet
2)--Exit 269-B (Mulberry Street)
3)--SLEEP INN HOTEL(MOTEL)--3808 East Mulberry St.
4)--Phone # 970-484-5515
5)--Ask for MELISSA or STACI and tell them you're with the DAKOTA TRUCK CLUB to get your discount - or if you're just calling to reserve the room (no extras or problems), you can just tell anyone who answers the phone that you're with the DAKOTA TRUCK CLUB and they'll take care of it.
6) I got them to hold 5 rooms: 2-smoking and 3 nonsmoking (only Saturday night, the 29th, on hold) - but if that is the wrong mix of smoking and non-smoking, then just get whatever you need - but ask if they'll locate you near the rest of the group - so be sure to let them know if you want the 30th also. However, since that is a holiday weekend, you should probably make your reservations soon!
7) I have reserved 1-room for myself and my wife, BUT you all have to call to RESERVE YOURs and let them know if you want a single queen or 2-doubles, smoking or not, one or two nights, etc.
8)THEY DO ACCEPT PETS!!!!
9)--the cost for each nite is: 1-person $40
                                           2-people $45
                                           3-people $50
                                           4-people $55
and children 18 and under are free.
(these were the best prices within that area, even better than Motel 6 or Super 8 - and the
             rooms are really nice)
10) When turning off of I-25 to Exit 269-B make a left at the top of off-ramp and go into the first right turn street where you'll see the Holiday Inn and Sleep INN is right next door. The Sleep INN has also set up with Holiday Inn for the use of the SPA and SWIMMING POOL(so bring your swimsuits)
11) they have a CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST with pretty much everything except eggs or cereal, but do have fruits and breads and other various things.
12)--THEY NEED ALL RESERVATIONS FOR THE 29th or 30th BY THE 15th of MAY TO GUARANTEE ONE OF THESE 5 ROOMS -- IF MORE THAN 5 ROOMS ARE NEEDED JUST TELL THEM AND WE CAN GET AS MANY ROOMS AS NEEDED, BUT PROBABLY JUST FOR A LIMITED TIME--THE MORE THE MERRIER!
13) Pedro don't forget your trail book - everyone bring camera, videos, truck wax, any other necessities
14) almost forgot-Melissa works from 7am--3pm Monday through Friday.
15) my wife and I are going to stay the night of the 28th (Friday night), so that we will be there to greet people whenever you arrive on Saturday - so if anyone else would like to stay Friday night also, let them know when you make your reservations, and then let me know so that I will know to look for you.
SINCE I WILL NOT BE IN TOWN, I WILL BE PUTTING MY DML MAILINGS ON "TEMPORARY SUSPENSION" FROM MAY 7th THRU 22nd - SO PLEASE SEND ME EMAIL DIRECTLY TO magnum318@bewellnet.com - OR IF ANYONE NEEDS TO CONTACT ME, PAGE ME ON MY WIFE'S PAGER, 1-888-460-5722 (toll-free - it will say "this is Jan Phillips") AND LEAVE A MESSAGE WITH YOUR PHONE NUMBER AND I'LL GET BACK IN TOUCH WITH YOU.
