Eric,
The machanical fan causes parasitic power loss. If you are not interested
in performance, then the stock fan is fine. If however, you are looking to
maximize your performance, this will net you approximately 20hp that would
be eaten up spinning the viscous stock fan. This fan is heavier that it
looks also. Hope this helps.
