The June issue of Morpar Muscle has an article on Dakota Power Secrets
on page 76. One of them is Cool Horsepower and states "the engine
controller is designed to make maximum power at 182 degrees F of engine
temp". Goes on to say (among other things) 10 to 15 degrees will stop
90% of the coolant pocketing in the cylinder head. Additionally, you'll
pick up a few horsepower and get slightly better gas mileage. Quite a
deal for less than 10 bucks. also talks to going to a Hi-perf
controller and associated ping problems...
Also has several other tips such as roller rockers (10-15 extra HP.),
etc.
