RE: Fw: Durango pinging

I used 87 when I first got my 97, 5.2L. After I noticed some pinging at
full throttle, I tried 89. The pinging reduced. I have been using it for
the last year and a half. When I recently put the new Bosche Platinum +4
plugs in, I noticed ALL pining gone. I reduced fuel to 87, still no
pinging! My bank account is much happier now. So, I guess it was the
plugs.

I agree, I run 87 From Shell and or CHevron, (primarily for price concerns
here in CA) but I don't have any problems.
