You can do all the work yourself for something like that and keep it
under $70 or so. Plus, I seriously doubt that your Dak even needs it.
Did he say what you truck was doing that might indicate that it needs a
tune up? I must admit that I am biased though. I never let anyone touch
a vehicle of mine anymore unless I absolutely don't have the time to do
the work.
I had a dealership here in town forget to bolt a caliper on my Neon
which sent me colliding into a dirt wall. I'm glad it wasn't over the
steep drop off on the other side of the road. I've also had mechanics
mess up drive axle replacement on my 1987 TII Daytona and the suspension
even! Anyhow, simple things like that is why I will never again trust a
mechanic. Plus, if you have the time, auto mechanics are extremely easy.
Even rebuilding a motor is a cake walk if you have time.

More to the point: They're taking you to the cleaners for $250. At least Jesse James used a gun when he robbed people.
