The Jacobs kit was the first and only thing I installed just after the
break-in period. I've been getting that kind of mileage since... I have
recently put on the soft tonneau, brass cap and rotor (needed it!), and
a Gibson exhaust, but those were merely upgrades and didn't add much if
any to MPG. The tonneau may have helped some with a little less
resistance, but not that noticeable. Also, the old cap and rotor don't
seem to hold up well to an aftermarket ignition. The original ones I
took off and replaced had LOTS of wear on the contacts!

But, with the Jacobs... I have heard from this list that several people
have had bad luck with the Jacobs lasting on a year or so before they
had to replace it because of problems. So take that for what you will.
The install is easy with no cutting. Just plugs right in. Cost.. Around
$450.00 for me.

So far, I'm satisfied with it. I just hope mine holds up and doesn't
fail on me like it did with my fellow DMLr's.
