Look forward to hearing your results. I'm still up in the air on this mod
as a lot say the factory stuff is pretty good. Make sure you drive through
some nasty muck before you report on the results! :-)

Well I put my MSD 6-Offroad box on this weekend(PN6470), after having it for
nearly 3 weeks. The reason I waited so long to put it on was due to MSD's
universal wiring harness(PN8873) being on 3 weeks of backorder, grrrr. I
checked Summit's order status hotline and it said they shipped it out the
3rd, so I should have the box operational this week! Can't wait. I had to cut
the power and negative wire and solder(heat shrinked) in about 4 feet of
wire(10 guage) to reach my battery. I used 3/8" ID plastic wire loom from the
box to the battery, looks very factory. I mounted the box on the passenger's
side fenderwell, next to the computer. I made sure to Loctite the vibration
mounts, wouldn't want this ignition box falling/coming off! I ran the
power/negative wires to my optional battery posts, since the battery I have
has 4 posts(2 top and 2 side) For this, I ordered from Crutchfield the solid
machined brass studs which screw into the battery post holes and have a
threaded rod at the top which comes with a nut and lockwasher which is
perfect size for MSD's ring type electrical connectors for the box. Now all I
have to do is to regap the plugs, hook up the universal wiring harness, reset
the bozo puter, and power up the MSD box. I will let you all know how it
turns out! Thanks to all who have helped out with providing information on
all my MSD related questions.
