The SETI at home project is now running. They have released both
Windows and ( for you studly, virile ones, ) Mac versions.
It took 2 minutes to download. You can either run it all the time on
the background or have it run as a screen saver. It connects via
modem,. downloads data, and disconnects. looks like it will then take
this data bolus about 10 hours of CPU time to process. And you know,
good data it must be, since it comes from the Arecibo radio telescope in
Puerto Rico.
Think about it, you could be the first to detect true extra terrestrial
life!!!!!!!!
