Gordon,
Stay away from the Air Aid.......I am not one to talk smack about somebody elses
intake.....and I am sure that since I make my own version, some will take this
with a grain of salt.........but before I started selling intakes and TBs......I
was one of the first to modify a Durango.....now she will run with the best of
them....
If something were to come out that would blow away my intake, and be reasonably
priced....I would be all over it. BUT Air aid at any price is over
priced.........they retain the stock flex hose, use a filter that is too
small......and they place the filter next to the exhaust manifolds........I
wonder how it would hold up with headers......especially uncoated ones.....
If you dont mind waiting for the back order...........and paying the
price........go for the Gen II. The only thing is that I have been waiting for
them to put out there product ever since I bought my D back in Dec of '97. NO
telling when they will decide to put it out....
The home brew kits are cool, but I am still hesitant about using the sewer pipe
coupler.....its rubber. And I am not to hipp on putting sewer pipe on my new
truck. But hey if it works for you .......thats all that counts. Mine started
out that way......and it has made its way to the polished stainless steel
version I offer today. Anyway, just my thoughts......take them for what they
are worth........not much....oh well, Hope you all have a great weekend, I am
hoping to see a few of you at the show in San Diego this saturday.......Its at
McCuen Dodge in National city.........24th and Broadway I think.......Take
care......Tony
