FWIW - You can get a Vortech S-trim kit for only a few hundred bucks more. A
real compressor, that uses engine oil to lubricate/cool the compressor
(instead of a self contained fluid) comes with all parts, plus Vortech's now
including a Hi-6TR Fireball ignition system with their Dodge truck kits.
That's the reason for the small price increase.

I agree with him. Powerdyne kits are cheaper because they don't include all
the "extras" such as bypass valve, spark box, aluminum discharge tube
(Powerdyne is plastic). After you add the cost up it's the same as a Vortech
kit.

Vortech S-trim can supply more volume before surpassing it's efficiency
level. Once you reach that level, spinning it fast will only heat up the air
charge. I had a Powerdyne and the most it ever put out was <7psi while
spinning it to the max rpm rating. An S-trim is putting out 12lb for me with
room to grow.

However, that may not matter because I really don't know how much boost you
can use on an R/T. Mine already pings without a blower and cast pistons
wouldn't live long at all if there's detonation.

Powerdyne is quiet though and you won't have that hole in the oil pan when
you bring it into the dealer for that warrantied engine replacement!!!
