Uh Oh! Not the air cleaner debate again! J/K :-) There are roughly two
schools of thought here, namely, bring in a lot of air even though it may be
hot (360 degree open element) -or- try to force a cooler shot of air through
some sort of snorkel device (quick d and other home brews). The last (best?)
thought is what you mentioned in your first post, I.E. a ram air hood.

Both theories purport more power and the debate will never end. :-)

I'm into 4 wheelin' more than I'm into racing and the FABM gave me enough of an
increase over stock that I'm happy. I've also got the V8 which might also be a
factor. As far as paying more, I've found that in the pursuit of the almighty
1/10 of a second reduction in ET's, money is no object for a lot of the
guys/gals! :-)

Good luck!
Tom

BTW where you at in Mass??? Chuck from R.I. is setting up a meet in Newport
and I'm trying to set up a beach bash on the cape (I still need at least one
other 4x4 guys!). All DML'ers are welcome!

Your absolutely right about responses and suggestions. I've seen info
regarding the Quik-D setup shown here:
                http://www.quickd.com/

Because I'm such a novice maybe u can tell me: Will I get the same results
using the FABM setup u suggested. Your suggestion is about $100 cheaper!! I
can't escape the feeling that the more expensive setup MUST be better...why
else would people pay more? :-) Once again your reply is most appreciated!

Kevin
